Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

Worth Every Penny β Exceptional Care from Dr. Miron I saw Dr. Diego E. Miron, DDS for an implant and I couldnβt be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, I felt supported, heard, and genuinely cared for. The surgery went flawlessly, and the level of customer service was unmatchedβwarm, attentive, and professional. I actually changed insurance halfway through and am kicking myself for waiting to finish this. I paid out of pocket, and it was worth every single penny. If you're looking for a surgeon who combines skill with heart, Dr. Miron is the one.

Dr. Diego Miron and his lovely assistant(I believe her name was Erin? Aaron?) welcomed me immediately during the consultation, and we developed a humorous rapport with each other. The day of the surgery, they did amazing! I have a small mouth, and their assignment was to expose a molar, and also remove two bottom wisdom teeth(might as well), and remove a baby tooth. They had an immense success. It did not take that long, and I was under IV sedation and didnβt feel a thing. I was in La la land. During my post-op checkup, I had already gotten a bracket on the exposed molar from the orthodontist, and Dr. Miron said that it healed well. He did a great job! I recommend him! A million times!

Dr. Miron removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth under sedation and the procedure took all of 15 minutes. He was kind and open to my questions. The office could use better communication- I requested that someone from the office read his impression of my xray to me prior to the operation but no one called until the day before to tell me my instructions for extraction, and once I reminded them they read the impression to me. They also did not have records of my X-rays from my dental office and had me retake them on my consultation day. Besides that everyone was very friendly and pleasant and I would recommend Dr. Miron.

September 2022. I had my implant done by Dr. Miron in 2018. Aug 30th I started to have pain, I called my dentist on September 1st. he prescribed an antibiotic and was going on vacation till Sept 12. I had an x-ray taken then I called Dr. Mironβs office for 3 Days, I left messages with his answering service, at 10 AM, 4 PM then again on the 3rd day to a voice mail and finally someone called me back. I was in terrible pain, couldnβt chew the implant was so loose I was afraid I was going to swallow it in my sleep. When the Albany office (Dr. Miron) called me to get me in she told me she had an appointment Oct 10 exactly one month away. So I guess I was supposed to suffer for 30 more days. Then she asked me if I had a referral? I replied why would I need a referral when Dr Miron was the surgeon that did the work? Very disappointed to say the least. My dentist (Dr. Harris) took me in on the day he returned from vacation September 12 an Extracted the implant, which has relieved my pain. As fair as customer service goesβ¦.Do Not Count on Capital District Oral Surgeon! They donβt offer any! Darlene S.
